The depot, at nearly 125 years old, is the oldest existing structure in the City of Pearland.
The Southern Pacific caboose was added to the depot grounds in the early 1980's.
The decking at the front of the building and the railing is in a state of serious disrepair.
Vestiges remain that testify to the Depot's prior history of the home of the Pearland/Hobby Area Chamber of Commerce.
A few items, such as this station master's cap, remain as testament to the Depot's past service.
The Depot is one of only a handful of Pearland landmarks designated with an historical marker by the Texas Historical Commission.
